5 out of 5 stars Great paint   June 15, 2010

We looked in 5 different Home Depots for this paint, which we have used before, and could not find any, and Amazon had it. It was more expensive, but it was the color we wanted, so it worked out ok.

I like the color and the product quality is good- it leans toward a red shade of brown.

First off, the delivery was excellent! The product came to my door in record timing! The spray paint is a glossy candy apple red as it states. The spray paint is multi-purpose as it states. This product dries really fast in about 30mins. It covers even. But use in a vented area because the funes are strong! I love Rust-Oleum Multi-Purpose spray paint so much that I have bought it in black and I am planing on buying it also in white.

Got it at Home Depot. I had Green Plastic Loveseat+Sidetable wicker that Im going to use outdoors for the patio. It looked dull and researched what kind of paint I needed. Everyone said it has to be a spray based paint because brushing would cause the excess to drip and I also figured it couldnt reach the inner crevices. I was initially looking for Krylon Plastic but it wasnt being sold their so Rustoleum Ultra was my 2nd choice (something darkbrown). I ended up with Kona brown and bought 3.I asked sales if I should get a primer and they said no need for the job I was doing.I got my camera and took pictures of the of the wicker to note the before and after appearance.I got a somewhat large cleaning brush and made sure to remove the dirt on the wicker. I didnt try to do a perfect job of it though. I started with the side table making sure I was spraying 8-12 inches from it. Application was super easy but with wicker you have to go on the surface several times to cover all the crevices. 1 can wasnt enough so I used another 1/4 can. My index finger was fatigued halfway through the job as the spray had somewhat of a stiff design unlike the Krylon sprays which are smaller and softer to press on. I was amazed on how quick the paint dries and I could just flip the table after holding for a minute. If not Id be circling around it spraying the other areas.Good thing I was doing it outdoors on sunny day as it easily revealed the missed spots. Looking at the finished job I was very pleased. I put it beside the unpainted loveseat and was amazed how beautiful it looked. The paint made it looked new and expensive. It did have that glossy look but not the cheap kind youd get from other paints which are somewhat thicker in texture. And you dont even get the impression it was painted on. If it did you would have thought it was a professional who did it.I just hope it withstands the weather. If not Ill just repaint it > which would be fun. WOW! Im off to buy 4 more cans for the love seat.
